Im April 2025 erhielt ich ein E-Mail von Kalla Jaco, ASCA Executive Secretary. Darin stand:

„Dear Sandra,
On behalf of the ASCA Board of Directors, I’m thrilled to share that you have been selected as a recipient of the 2025 ASCA Lifetime Achievement Award, our organization’s highest honor.
This award is reserved for individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary dedication and made a lasting impact on the Australian Shepherd breed and the ASCA community. Your devotion to the preservation and promotion of the working Australian Shepherd, not only in Europe but across the world, is truly remarkable.

From your years as a breeder, trial competitor, judge, educator, and advocate for stockdog events, to your tireless work through WEWASC in organizing trials and helping grow ASCA’s presence in Europe—your contributions have helped shape the global legacy of the breed. You’ve devoted nearly three decades to ensuring that the Australian Shepherd remains a capable, intelligent, and respected working partner.

Your nomination for this honor was submitted by Nicole Knor, who spoke highly of your service to ASCA. Her heartfelt recommendation reflects the admiration and appreciation shared by so many in our community.

As part of this honor, you will also receive an ASCA Honorary Membership, as outlined in Article 4, Section 1.D of the ASCA Bylaws. This Honorary Membership grants you a lifetime membership in ASCA, including a complimentary subscription to the Aussie Times, with no further dues required. It’s just one small way for us to say thank you for everything you’ve contributed.

We will be presenting the award during the Welcome Reception at the 2025 ASCA Nationals in Winnemucca, Nevada, and we sincerely hope you’ll be able to attend so we can celebrate you in person. Please let me know if you plan to join us.

Sandra, thank you for the incredible work you’ve done and continue to do. This recognition is so well earned, and we are honored to celebrate your lifetime of achievements.“

Nun, ich bin sehr überrascht darüber und fühle mich wirklich geehrt. Ich bedanke mich bei allen Beteiligten !
